Cuomo To Subpoena CDS Information From AIG

Or so reports the WSJ. The attorney general has proven to be quite successful at getting whatever information he wants (especially with public lynching as a negotiating tool), so the entire credit community is drooling in anticipation to find out just how scary the real picture at AIG FP's global operations truly is (ZH is quite curious what the DV01 on AIG's entire portfolio is). This may end up being one of those rocks one doesn't want to peek under, as the nicely manipulated and well-hidden truth on AIG's mutual assured destruction interconnections within the financial world will be revealed, and should make for cheerleader sessions just a tad more difficult to conduct once the real fact are exposed. Spitzer was the only 1 who truly "got it" about Wall Street's 3 card monte game.

It was a shame that he was so easily set up by the bankers...

But when obtained will Cuomo make it public? Maybe he decides the truth is to scary for the public and starts to dance and cheerlead the second he gets the data.

I wonder if Cuomo will find that our Golden friends got first dibs on money, unlike what would have happened if instead, Superman and sidekick (the imposters) had asked Congress for power to take AIG into conservatorship, and then other trips back to Congress for subsequent conservatorships instead of the freee money bonanza that the secret TARP meeting and the AIG money train turned out to be--the Golden friends needed the money to stay in business and so, when the chips are all on the table, will this prove to be Kryptonite for the imposter? Or does the imposter have a force-field shielding him from all accountability? Stay tuned.
