Movers And Shakers

Well, it wouldn't be fun if it didn't include Citadel... and it does...but also everyone's favorite Stevie Cohen and Henry Swieca. Fan Wu, an analyst formerly in Citadel's Chicago office, who had specialized in restaurant and footwear stocks, together with Noah Elbogen, consumer analyst of Highbridge, will run a $100 million consumer stock portfolio out of SAC's brand spanking new Boston office, which opened just this August to attract New York and Stamford haters.

The future is very bright for the duo, seeing how both restaurants and footwear companies will soon be deemed too big to fail by Obama. All former sell side consumer analysts are advised to see if there may be an opening for them by one of the many open Bloomberg terminals at 75 Park Plaza. Of course, new hires will not see the benefit of either an in house psychologist or a head of HR for the foreseeable future.

In the meantime Izzy Englander's deep pockets seem to get deeper: Millennium Partners has funded yet another startup, this time quant multi-strat fund Sentiment Strategies run by Cormac Kinney. Cormac was previously at both Tudor and Amaranth, specializing on Izzy's favorite quant and stat arb strategies. Sphere: Related Content
