The Worm Turns: Hedge Funds Down 0.51% In February

At least according to survivorship bias specialist Hedge Fund Research as quoted by Bloomberg. In all likelihood the real number when factoring in the funds that stopped reporting between January and February is at least double that. HFR states that YTD returns among hedge funds are -0.59%.
HFR has traditionally been on the top end of performance estimates, with their 2008 HF performance calculated at -19%, versus a range of -18% to -29% based on a compilation of all hedge fund tracking services. Sphere: Related Content Print this post
