Their tax bill for 2008 would include a 90% tax on the bonus income.<BR/><BR/>By resigning in early December, and remaining unpaid in December the couple limits their income to about 245k.<BR/>The couple would not be impacted.<BR/><BR/>Even better, the husband or wife would get themselves fired mid year, and collect unemployment for 6 months.
